At the lower end of the price spectrum, the Kolcraft Contours Lite Stroller with its compact and lightweight frame is tailored to busy families whilst still including plenty of accessories which are beneficial for your child.

Kolcraft are well regarded as a manufacture of quality, affordable strollers which are lightweight so I had high hopes the Contours Lite Stroller would deliver. The first impressions looking at this stroller are good. The large stylish canopy, sporty frame and large wheels give it a contemporary modern look. But does it deliver the performance to match its looks? Read on to find out.

Lightly Does It

Modern families today need a stroller which can transport their little ones without being too bulky or cumbersome. Weighing in at just 16 pounds, the Contours Lite Stroller can be transported with ease without sacrificing safety. When folded, the stroller is rather compact so it can be folded for easy storage.

Performance

As with many modern strollers, the level of manoeuvrability is excellent. Pushing the stroller is a breeze and can be done with only one hand. The front swivel wheels allow for sharp turns and easy steering whilst the large 8" rear wheels and spring loaded suspension system provide a nice smooth ride.

An adjustable handle is not included so bear in mind that for the taller parents the handle maybe a little short.

A 5-point safety harness is included which straps over your child's shoulders, across the hips and between their legs. The harness is height adjustable so it can be adjusted as your child grows so the level of safety is maintained.

The multi-position reclining seat reclines far back but not all the way to a fully flat position, so this stroller isn't suitable for very young children who are under 3-4 months old.

Amenities

There is nothing like a good range of amenities to make life on the move with your child that bit more luxurious. I'm pleased to say the Coutours Lite Stroller excels in this area. A removable child snack tray with a large rotatable drink holder is included so your child can eat and drink in comfort on the move. A parent cup holder is also included.

The large 3-tier canopy will ensure your child is protected from the sun and rain allowing you to enjoy strolling all year around. The underneath storage basket is nice and large so you have plenty of room to fit your baby gear.

Final Thoughts

Overall the Kolcraft Contours Lite Stroller is excellent choice for parents who want a stroller which is lightweight, durable and affordable without compromising on safety or performance.

On the downside, it's missing some features I would have liked such as a height adjustable handle and an option to accept car seat carriers but for the price range it still remains a bargain which is ideal for the modern parent.
